Objectives
- To initiate and advocate for legislative and policy actions aimed at mitigating the negative financial, environmental and economic impacts of current energy policies, plans and projects;
- To propose sustainable and people-centered reforms in the energy sector and promote and oversee the implementation of energy policies that ensure equitable, affordable, and sustainable access to energy for all.
- To conduct hearings in parliamentary committees on energy-related issues, with a focus on the financial, social, and environmental accountability of energy policies, plans and projects.
- To promote regulatory and oversight regimes that ensure transparency, accountability, and good governance in the energy sector.
